我是来自初一（9）班的张正翰，我今天国旗下讲话的题目是《自省自律，决战期末》。
我们这一代是生在新时代长在新社会的青年一代，现在的社会物欲横流，青年人容易受到浮躁之风的影响，我们要想在这样的环境中健康成长、成人、成才，学会自省自律是必不可少的。“自省自律”即对自己严格要求，日省吾身，见贤则思齐，见不贤则内自省，谨言慎行，不放纵，不浮泛。一个人如果没有坚定的毅力和不变的恒心，做人不能脚踏实地，做事随随便便，这样的人是不会成功的。试想一个人朝秦暮楚，一日三变，成功怎么会眷顾于他？上苍只会眷顾那些拥有坚定的信心和不变的恒心的有志之士。

I am Zhang zheng han from Class 9 Grade 1.Today, I want to talk about self-control and the preparation for the final exam.
We were born in the twenty-first century and now live in a modern society. Nowadays, adults are thirsty for money and it’s easy for teenagers to follow them. In order to grow into a man with healthy personality and different abilities, it is necessary to learn to control ourselves and act well. That is to say, we need to be strict with ourselves. Always remember to look back on what we have done during the day at the end of the day. Learn from the people who are excellent. If we see someone do something bad, we had better check  whether we’ve done the same bad thing and then correct it. Be careful with what we say and do. Make your plans and be practical. One can only have success unless he has a strong will and never give up. He also needs plans and practice. If a man keeps making changes to his plan, can he have success? God helps those who helps themselves. So God will help only if you have strong confidence and will.

对我们青年学生的学习来说，自省自律的精神是不可缺少的。纵观历史，凡学有所成者莫不深知此理。古时学者悬梁刺骨，囊荧映雪，故有纵横捭阖之才，经纶世务之智；王右军临池练字，在池中洗笔，竟染黑了一池水，故后有书圣美誉。其精益求精，严于律己的决心意志着实令人敬佩。也正因为这种精神，成就了一代又一代经世济国之才。

Of course, self-control is also of great importance to teenagers’ study. In the history of China, great people with great success all knew it and had it. In old times, a man did something painful to his body in order not to fall asleep. One man used fireflies to help him see the words in his books. In this way, we have great people with great abilities in history. Su Qin and Zhang Yi had the ability to master the relationship between different countries. Wang Xizhi, a master of handwriting, made a pool dark black after keeping brushing his writing brush. We show great respect for his thirst for the better. The thirst for better things also makes many more great people.

对我们学生的修养、成才而言，自省自律更显得尤为重要。自醒是一面镜子，能帮我们明是非、知善恶、辨美丑。大学者朱熹强调“吾日三省吾身”，告诉我们为人要不断检视自己的行为。荀况同样也说过“君子博学而日三省乎己，则知名而行无过矣”。可见反躬自省，严于律己对加强自身修养，自我成长发展是多么的重要。君子唯先有“自律修身”之毅力，而后方能“齐家”，最后才会有条件实现“治国、平天下”的理想。

Self-control is important, especially to our growth.  Self-examination is like a mirror. It can help us know whether something is right or wrong. A scholar called Zhu Xi once stressed its importance and told us to keep examining what we’ve done. Xun Kuang also said that he examined himself some times a day to make sure he did nothing wrong. How important self-control and self-examination are to our growth. We need to have the strong will to control ourselves and then we will be able to have a happy family. Then we will have the ability to build a better country. 

同学们，期末考试即将到来，我们要通过自省自律坚定我们的必胜信念，每天保持清醒的头脑，认真对待每一节课，努力完成每一份作业纸，高效复习，在期末测试中交出令人满意的答卷。

My dear classmates, the final exam is coming soon. We will be sure to win by controlling ourselves. We must listen in class and do homework carefully with a clear mind. We will get happy grades in the final exam by going over what we have learned carefully in class.
