老师们、同学们：

大家上午好！

今天我在国旗下讲话的题目是《热爱脚下的每一寸土地》。

每当我们走进学校，到处洋溢着与人的向上的氛围，看到挺拔的教学楼、环境优雅的校园，先进的多媒体教室，漂亮的读书吧，五颜六色的盆景，同学们你可曾想到：这一切都是为了让我们拥有一个既优美又舒适的学习环境，我们有什么理由不把我们的学校当作自己的家来爱护呢？

Good morning, dear teachers and schoolmates！The topic of my speech today is "Love every inch of land beneath your feet ".

Whenever we enter the school, there is a positive atmosphere in every corner of the school. When you see tall and straight teaching buildings, the elegant environment of our school, advanced multimedia classroom, beautiful reading bar and colourful potted plants, would you have thought that all of them are to offer us a beautiful and comfortable learning environment. Therefore, there is no reason that can prevent us taking care of our school as our home.

可是，校园里已经出现与这美好的环境格格不入的镜头：随手抛纸屑；教室里的课桌椅，被人在上面乱写乱画；有些同学在进出教室时，不是用手轻轻的推门，而是用脚踢门；在楼道里追逐打闹，甚至有的同学恶意损坏；洁白的墙壁上留有个别同学踢踏的脚印；读书吧的书卷页掉角，校园的花草树木被随意采摘等等。不知同学们看见这些现象之后的心情如何呢？

鉴于以上不文明的行为，我们应该积极行动起来，为保护我们的校园出一份力。

However, some inappropriate behaviors have already appeared. Some students throw garbage everywhere, some doodle on their desks, some kick the door when they come into the classroom instead of pushing the door with their hands, some chase each other in the hallway, some pick flowers at random... I don't know how you feel after seeing these phenomena?   In view of the above uncivilized behaviors, we should actively take action to protect our school.

同学们，从现在开始，让我们每个人都培养爱护公物的意识吧，爱护公物，从我做起。让我们小心翼翼地挪动桌椅，轻手轻脚地开门开窗，花草树木，切勿践踏攀折。不要在雪白的墙壁上蹬踏留痕；不要让崭新的课桌椅面目全非。

爱护公物，从小事做起。随手将书架的书摆放整齐。看完之后将其归还到原来的地方。

爱护公物，从身边做起。随手关灯，节约每一度电；拧紧水龙头，节约每一滴水；捡起地上的纸屑和饮料瓶，保持环境卫生。    From now on, let’s cultivate the awareness of taking care of public property. We should move the tables and chairs carefully and open the door softly. Of course,we ought not to trample on flowers and grass, leave our footprints on the wall and damage public property.

Take good care of public property and start with small things. Put the books on the shelf neatly. After reading it, return it to its original place.

Take good care of public property and start from around. Turn off the lights and save every hour of electricity. Tighten the faucet and save every drop of water. Pick up the paper scraps and drink bottles on the ground to keep the environment clean.

要像爱护自己的家一样，爱护学校的一草一木；要像珍惜自己的眼睛一样，珍惜学校的一点一滴，让爱护公物成为我们每个同学的自觉行动；让爱护公物成为我们每个同学的良好习惯。

We should regard our school as our home. That means we have the responsibility to actively take action to take care of our school and form a good habit of taking care of public property.
